Spring Cleaning

Now that spring has sprung, it is important to cleanse our body. During winter  we tend to eat more and store extra heat and fat. Which in time can back us up and cause constipation and lack of nutrient absorption. Taking the time to cleanse we can  help illuminate sickness and rejuvenate ourselves. There are a few cleanses that many of us know already such as a juice fast, colon cleanse , liver detox remedies and good old fashion sweats.

Our Colon Cleanse-Triphala powder #29 can be one of the greatest ancient herbal remedies for detoxing. This blend of Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Haritaki (Chebulic myrobalan), and Bhibitaki (Beleric myrobalan) can be used on a daily basis, and works well for losing weight, upset stomach, cleansing and much more. It may be used in conjunction with any of our Rasayanas, and is highly recommend to be used with the Neem Rasayana- Liver and Spleen #5 , Gokshura Rasayans- Kidney Support #19, Somalata rasayana-Weight Away #21, Manjishta Rasayana-Blood Pure #6, Guduchi Rasayana-Immune Support #25, and the     Trikatu Rasayana- Digetive Aid #13.

Ayurveda is India’s holistic, integrated, physiotherapeutic medical system. It is based upon the universal natural law of balancing the five elements that make up the physical body:

  • ether

  • air

  • fire

  • water

  • earth

When one or more of these elements go out of balance because of improper diet and life style, various diseases and mental disturbances can manifest. Ayurveda explains that these five elements are kept intact in the body by three subtle forces called doshas. The key to maintaining physical and mental health is in keeping these elements and doshas in harmonic balance through proper diet, herbs and life style, otherwise early aging and various diseases can manifest.
