Allergy season is here and there are many things you can do to help relieve symptoms. Starting off with a kapha (water and Earth) reducing diet. This includes cutting out as many wheat products, dairy products and cold drinks as possible, and supplementing it with corn, millet, rye or oat flour.
To reduce the congestion you can add warm spicy herbs to burn up the phlegm and promote digestion, like Black pepper, long pepper, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and chili.
