Vata spices for balancing air energy

This Vata Masala is made from a selection of 29 herbs and spices, which have a slightly warming and grounding effect on the mind and body. Spices have very therapeutic properties, and enhance the flavor of any meal. Great for making kitchari!

Kitchari is a meal preparation commonly used in therapeutic practice in panchakarma, a detoxing program. PANCHA (five) Karma (procedures). Kitchari helps to remove excess Dosha imbalances from the body.

The word kitchari means “mixture” it consist of a mixture of rice, beans and herbs cooked in ghee. The most beneficial rice and bean is basmati and mung bean. It is highly suggested to sprout your mung beans first before cooking. This allows the lectins to be significantly reduced. Mung beans are anti-inflammatory, hypo-allergenic and do not cause gas.

Sprinkle them on everything to balance your dosha!
