A Natural Herbal Ayurvedic Dietary Supplement to help soothe excess mucus

All of the herbs in this formula are very heating. It is to help support the body to liquify mucus build up, digestiion and the elimination process.Stopping mucus build up can be very unhealthy. Long Pepper’s (piper longum) or its Sanskrit name “Pippali” is a flowering vine from the Piperaceae family. It is very closely related to black pepper, and has been used for centuries as a spice. It is tridoshic, meaning it can help all body types (vata, pitta, kapha). However, it can irritate vata with its heating and drying qualities. It promotes “Agni” or digestive fire and has anti-bacterial properties. It has been shown to be effective in treating giardia in animals.

The following Essential Oils can also be used in an essential oil diffuser for added support: Calamus, Tulasi, Sage, Clove, Ajowan, Black Pepper, Tumeric, Peppermint, Cardamon, Ginger root, and Cinnamon.

Pippali Rasayana is in the form of a "food jam" consisting of herbs and spices in a base of honey, rice syrup, and ghee.

Instructions: Eat directly from the jar or dissolve 1 teaspoon in a cup of hot water. Repeat every hour during the cold. For children use 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon.
